Review
In this short glimpse of the doomy titled film set to be released next year, Jack Sparrow (who does not feature in the clip) is being pursued by a marauding gang of decaying ghost pirates, headed up by Sparrow’s old rival, Captain Salazar. The original cast – Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, Orlando Bloom and Kevin McNally – is back for Dead Men Tell No Tales, but all are absent from the teaser trailer. Instead, the camera pans inside an strange cluster of craggy rocks, where we see chaotic shots of ghost pirates murdering, stabbing and plundering.
The trailer ends with Captain Salazar and his gang of ghost pirates approaching a young boy and asking him for Jack Sparrow’s location; promising, through blood-seeping teeth, that “death will come straight to him.”
