Indian boxer Vijender Singh kept his unbeaten streak intact after defeating Frenchman Matiouze Royer by technical knockout at Copper Box Arena in London on 30th April 21016.
Vijender, 30, promised another knockout show but the bought against Royer was expected to be a tough one considering the Frenchman's experience in super middleweight. Royer, 29, was the most experienced opponent to date, with 44 fights — claiming 3 of his 14 wins via knockout. But all the came to nothing as the Indian pro punished the Frenchman in a rare show of brutality. And it was indeed a show of intent from the Olympic medalist ahead of his homecoming bout at Delhi this July.
In a six-round bout, the Indian boxer — as in his previous bouts — dominated from the first bell. And the Frenchman retired in the fifth round following the intervention of doctors.
Vijender's next fight is scheduled on May 13, We hope he keep winning matches like this and make India proud again and again.
