There are many viruses which changes the attributes of the files & folders present in your usb / pendrive / mobile. They changes your files in to protected system files (not normal hidden files).
Some users thinks their files got deleted but they are still there! You can recover them, change them back to normal. First you need to be sure that your files are not deleted, two simple methods are there. First method is very simple: just check free space of your device, if it says that data is present but you're not able to see your data then your data is still present. Second method is: go to control panel > folder options > View Tab : select "Show hidden files and folders”, then uncheck “Hide protected operating system files”. You will be able to see your files & folders now. If you're able to see your files now & want to change them back to normal then there are two methods: Manual & Automatic.
Manual Method:

1. Run Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> CMD for XP, or for Vista and 7 Start -> type CMD in search box, right click and run as Admin).
2. Type this command:
attrib -h -s K:\*.* /s /d

attrib -h -s K:\*.* /s /d
replace "K" with your drive letter, press enter.
3. That's it, open your drive, your files are visible now.
Automatic Method:
